Basic conversion includes:
- Vinyl transfer to audio CD.

- Testing the CD.
Level 2 Noise Removal
Level 2 service is audio restoration is designed to ‘clean up’ a recording. This is a semi-automated service. The object is to remove as much as possible the clicks, pops, scratches and hiss that often plague vinyl recordings, without an affect on the resultant audio. Using high quality audio editing software, I can remove most of the unwanted noise in a vinyl recording. However in some cases, the desired sound is so close in character to the noise, that some noise has to be left so as not to sacrifice parts of the sound that should remain in the recording.
This service is best for vinyl which shows signs of age and has had some wear and tear. It is important to realize that this level of audio restoration may not cure all your unwanted noise on a recording. There is a reasonable limit to which this service will be most affective and I want you to be happy with your final product. Tracks which have deep scratching or skip on playing may still exhibit noise at these points.
So if we feel that this level of audio restoration may not work for some of your tracks, we will let you know. Level 2 conversion includes:
- Vinyl transfer to audio CD.
- Track Separation.
- Testing the CD.
Limitations
- Unplayable Vinyl: Please do not send this type of vinyl. Identifiable by cracks and warping.
- Off-Center Hole: An off-center hole will result in pitch fluctuations on each rotation. To fix this requires the hole to be moved. We do not offer this service.
- Skips: If your vinyl skips on your turntable, it will most likely skip on ours. We can add a little more pressure to the tone arm to prevent skipping, but this may not solve the problem. If in doubt, do not submit vinyl that skips repeatedly.
- Deep Scratching: To fix deep scratching, some of the underlying music may be removed as well. Most small scratches/pops can be eliminated. If in doubt, we can leave out the offending track, remove the scratch and the audio that goes with it, or do not submit this type of vinyl.
- We cannot guarantee that we can remove every single pop due to some of the above limitations.
